Gatekeeper is an open-source tool that empowers individuals to verify Bitcoin transactions, no longer relying on the trust of wallet manufacturers. It is not uncommon for malware, or other malicious software, to target and corrupt Bitcoin deposit addresses. Without careful verification, your funds may get transferred to the wrong party. By using Gatekeeper, you can easily verify your deposit addresses, ensuring your Bitcoins do not fall into the wrong hands. Gatekeeper supports transactions across all wallets, including: single-sig, multi-device, and multi-sig. Gatekeeper gives each user the power to independently verify their transactions, creating a new level of personal security. Don't trust, verify.

How does Gatekeeper work?
Download Gatekeeper, and register your cold storage devices. Every xpub and derivation path associated with each device must be registered.
Create a receiving address and enter it into Gatekeeper. Gatekeeper will find the script and format from the address.
Make sure all your cold storages devices are offline. Send a small amount of Bitcoin to the Gatekeeper receiving address and then withdraw it.
Pass the second transaction to Gatekeeper. Gatekeeper will then display all data associated with the transaction, including: transaction amount, deposit address, change processed back, and any warnings. Gatekeeper will identify when a transaction is suspicious.
After you have verified the transaction, and no suspicious activity has been noted, you are free to move your funds safely and securely. If suspicious activity is noted, you have just saved your Bitcoins from loss or theft.
